Theresa Calter
Theresa Calter established K9 Events NW as a trial secretary business in 2004. Building on her background in administration and event planning she helps local dog clubs produce competitive events like agility, herding and rally as well as training events like fun matches and instinct test.
In 2018, she established Life is Dog Sport to offer a place where general knowledge and useful information about the dog sport lifestyle could be found. To that end, Life Is Dog Sport is developing courses on topics not covered in detail by dog training instructors such as managing your paperwork & dog information; setting team goals; and how to start competing in sports like obedience,rally and agility.

  • As a trial secretary, Theresa handles an array of paperwork and software to meet the requirements of the various organizations (NADAC, CPE, AKC, UKC, ASCA, UKI...) that offer titling events.
  • As a competitor, she has competed with her Cardigan Welsh Corgis--Dobby, Althea & Marshal--receiving many championships and titles in agility, rally, obedience, breed ring, barn hunt & herding across different organizational criteria..
  • As a dog owner, she is the Crazy Dog Lady friends and family refer others to when they have questions about dogs and dog sports.

Theresa knows both sides of the fun of dog sports and is looking forward to sharing information that is not easily accessible to the newbie or the established handler.
